KPMG, one of the UK’s largest accountancy firms, has announced that it is working with Durham University and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) to develop a new school leavers’ programme for September 2011.
The scheme would see an initial 75 students start a six-year programme with the firm, leading to both a degree from Durham University and a professional chartered accountancy qualification from ICAEW.
