Published 12 times a year, University Business magazine is the UK’s only magazine dedicated to addressing the issues facing today’s HE business professionals. We feature news, case studies and expert advice that will help decision makers to make better-informed decisions about the allocation of resources and finance.

Each issue focuses on a different area of university business including property, residential facilities, sport and leisure facilities, catering, conferencing, security, vacation business and a whole range of central services that are essential to the management of higher education buildings, facilities and estates.

1. How do I apply for a free subscription to UB?
Click this link and complete and submit the online questionnaire. (You will be notified by email if you have NOT qualified for a free subscription)

2. Why do I have to answer questions in order to qualify for a subscription?
Audit regulations require us to as UB is a free controlled circulation magazine.

3. How do I change my address on a free subscription?
Email
subscriptions@universitybusiness.co.uk quoting your subscriber number and your new address. Your subscriber number will always be printed with your address on your copy of UB (see question 13 for further information).

4. How do I change the name on a free subscription?
Due to audit regulations we cannot transfer a free subscription from one individual to another. To request a free subscription in your own name please visit subscriptions

5.How do I renew my subscription?
In order to renew your subscription you will need to complete a renewal qualification form found at the subscription page

6. How do I cancel my subscription?
Please email your subscriber number or your address with ‘Please cancel my UB sub’ in the header to
subscriptions@universitybusiness.co.uk

7. How long will it take to get my first issue?
Wildfire Communications Ltd, the publishers of UB offers free subscriptions to individuals who meet specific pre-established demographic criteria which has been set for each of our titles. Individuals who satisfy these criteria are added as non-renewing subscribers. While it typically takes 6 – 8 weeks to receive the first issue, it may take several months on some titles due to the fact that they are bi-monthly or due to high demand.

8. How come I can get this magazine for free?
We are able to offer complimentary subscriptions to select individuals because our costs are offset by the advertising revenue generated.

9. How do I buy a single copy?
Single issues cost £3.99 or £2.99 for order of 15+. Single copies can be purchased in the following ways:

3. Complete the online order form. We will invoice you with your copies.

10. I didn’t qualify for a free subscription, how do I order a paid-for subscription?
An annual subscription (12 issues) costs £39. Please visit the order page and place your order, we will send you an invoice after your order has been processed. Alternatively email your order to

11. I didn’t request this magazine why am I getting it?
From time to time we purchase mailing lists of people who meet the pre-established criteria for each of our magazines and send out sample copies. If you do not wish to continue to receive these free sample copies please contact our customer service department on +44(0)1179 029977 or email

12. How do a get replacement issues?
Unfortunately we are unable to provide replacement copies on a complimentary basis, Replacements can be purchased by ordering a single copy - see Question 9.

13. Where do I find my subscriber number?
Your subscriber number will be printed as a line of your address on the carrier sheet or wrapping that your copy of UB is mailed with. You can find out your subscriber number by emailing
subscriptions@universitybusiness.co.uk with your request and full address details.
