Thinking Ahead: HEIs preparing for the 2012 Games
11th June 2008Universities UK will hold a one-day seminar on Thursday 10 July 2008 on the higher education sector's preparation for the London Olympics and Paralympics in 2012. The seminar will be chaired by the Rt. Hon. Baroness Blackstone, Vice-Chancellor, University of Greenwich. Other confirmed speakers include Professor Ian Henry, Director, Centre for Olympic Studies and Research at Loughborough University, Gareth Smith, Deputy Director of Podium, as well as representatives from The London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (LOCOG).
