CUBO conference

This week, the University Business team and I were delighted to attend the CUBO conference in Loughborough. It was fantastic to meet so many readers and to have the chance to discuss the issues affecting the industry and the progress of University Business.
As Loughborough has recently been credited as the best sporting university in the UK, it was fitting that the conference focused on the parallels between sport and business. I'm sure everyone else enjoyed the inspiring presentation from Olympic High Jumper, Steve Smith, as much as I did. Aside from the lessons learnt about setting goals and motivating yourself, it was a wonderful to see more than 60 CUBO members stand up to do stretching exercises as part of his presentation. A healthy body is, after all, a healthy mind.
The event was the largest CUBO conference ever and saw 61 delegates make their way to Loughborough as well as members of other HE orgnanisations, such as BUFDG and AUDE, to discuss the industry and plan for the future.
